RVN has confirmed that the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua has expanded its territory to at least 16 US States, an area that includes more than half of America’s total population.
Homeland Security officials were warned last week in a memo from the Department of Intelligence about TdA’s growing presence in various parts of the country.
According to The Post’s previous reports and the memo, The Post has reported that The Post’s gang is already present in California, Colorado Florida, Georgia Illinois Louisiana Nevada New Jersey New York North Carolina Tennessee Texas Wisconsin.
As the gang spreads, its “violent traits” have only increased.
The memo said that the arrival of Tren de Aragua in the nation’s capitol and in nearby Virginia coincided “with an increase in migrant population” in those areas.
The memo warns that violent TdA migrants are likely to occur as Venezuelans continue to increase in number.
Fairfax County police arrested three suspected gang members for shoplifting in August 2023, in a run-in in Virginia with the cutthroat group.
All three suspects wore the signature tattoos of the gang.
The memo stated that the gang members target the DC area as they can easily travel to the nearby suburbs of northern Virginia in order to commit thefts, robberies, and assaults.
The memo stated that its members were increasingly involved in “lower level fraud and theft schemes” by sending their stolen money “back to South America for the purpose of funding additional criminal enterprises”.
In one instance cited in the report, a Tren de Aragua suspect withdrew 118,000 dollars from a Florida account using “fraudulent checks deposits” and wired it to Venezuelan bank accounts before fraud was detected.
The Post reported on Monday that the sheriff of Wyoming’s most populous County “wouldn’t say they had established a presence in the Western State, but he does hold a suspected TdA in his jail.”
Laramie County Sherriff Brian Kozak stated that “we have someone in our jail suspected of being TdA, who will be tried in December after being found in possession of an automobile stolen in Colorado.”
“This is the one arrest of a potential TdA member who was passing through Wyoming when he got arrested. He insisted that Wyoming has not seen a rise in Venezuelan immigration, particularly the criminal gang types.
TdA members were embedded in the millions of migrants that crossed the US-Mexico Border during the Biden and Harris administration. According to US Border Patrol, there was no information sharing between the US government and Venezuela in order to detect gang members. They were then easily released to the US.
The disastrous situation has been further complicated by the tense relationship between the Biden and Harris administration and the Maduro regime in Venezuela, which will not accept flights to return Venezuelans who have fled the US to Venezuela.
Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, has stated that cracking down against Tren de Aragua is a priority for his administration. He says that a “mass deportation effort will be carried out by not only ICE and US military.
TdA has been involved in a number of crimes, including the shooting of police officers, assaults, snatch and grab robberies, and the smuggling guns into migrant housing shelters.
On Roosevelt Avenue, Queens, the gang was also said to have been involved in sex-trafficking.
TdA has spread beyond the Democratic sanctuary cities and States to other areas in the United States.
David Rausch, Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, told Fox & Friends on Friday that this gang was running human-trafficking rings in Nashville, Memphis Knoxville, and Chattanooga.
Rausch explained that the criminals move from human trafficking, to organized retail crime, and finally into the drug trade. They fight the cartels with bloody, violent battles.
