Timothy James Walz (born April 6, 1964) is an American politician who has served as the 41st governor of Minnesota since 2019. He is the Democratic Party’s nominee for vice president in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019, representing Minnesota’s 1st congressional district.
