Lisa Primus, a physician based in New York, made a $25,000 contribution on May 21, 2026, to United for Virginia’s Future PAC. The PAC was launched in December 2025 by Abigail Spanberger to recruit, support, and defend candidates in future Virginia elections who commit to lowering costs, strengthening opportunity for the next generation, and putting the people they serve first.
Primus has a record of substantial political giving, having contributed more than $7.7 million largely to Democratic groups and candidates in recent years. Among those donations was $500,000 to the Lone Star Rising super PAC, which supports James Talarico in Texas. She has also directed $5,000 to Jones for Attorney General in Virginia. Additional contributions from Primus have gone to organizations such as the LCV Victory Fund and the Future Now Fund.
Primus serves on the boards of the Center for Voter Information, the League of Conservation Voters, and the Pipeline Initiative. She also funds the Livelihood Impact Fund, which invests in data-driven early-stage organizations focused on improving lives globally.
The May 2026 donation adds to the PAC’s total contributions received since 2025, which stand at more than $2.3 million, with cash on hand reported at over $1.6 million. United for Virginia’s Future PAC lists Primus among its top donors. The contribution occurred amid ongoing efforts by the PAC to back candidates in Virginia races.
Records from campaign finance filings show Primus’s giving extends across multiple states and federal committees, including super PACs and 527 organizations. Her support for United for Virginia’s Future PAC marks a notable Virginia-specific entry in her donation history alongside prior gifts to Virginia candidates such as Jones.
