The Loudoun County Public School Board has once again prioritized political posturing over student privacy. Under LCPS Policy 8040, students may use restrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity rather than biological sex.
In a recent incident at Stone Bridge High School, a biologically female student who identifies as male entered the boys’ locker room and reportedly recorded three male students.
Instead of defending the privacy of those boys, the school board launched an investigation into them for expressing discomfort.
Gov Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares have announced an investigation into the school board’s actions.
How many more times will the LCPS Board—led by Melinda Mansfield and Anne Donohue—disregard student rights before they are held accountable? It’s time to elect new leadership that puts the safety and privacy of all students first.
