Last weekend, Michelle Obama, the former first lady, stood on a stage with Vice President Kamala Harris in Kalamazoo Michigan and scolded the public about safety issues for women and children.
She appealed to women voters in swing states to ignore the safety record of the Biden-Harris Administration and persuade their male friends to vote for Harris.
What a joke. She is attempting to take advantage of the gender divide in polls, where women favor Harris and the majority men support the former president Donald Trump. It’s not in my nature to nag, or to patronize Americans. As a suburban, politically independent mother, I’d like to explain my early vote for Trump.
Michelle Obama was right to say that the best person for keeping our girls and women safe is Michelle Obama. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, data quietly released this month shows that violent crime rose 4.5% between 2021 and 2022 under Harris’s leadership. The new evidence shows that violent crime increased by 4.5% between 2021 and 2022 under Harris’s watch. These data were released after Harris made multiple speeches and participated in a debate where she claimed that violent crime had decreased in the U.S.
Our porous southern border is responsible for a large part of the rise in violent crime. The majority of these crossings took place when Harris was Joe Biden’s border czar. In Harris County Jail in Texas, officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement have placed detainers on one out of 10 inmates. This means that they are slated for deportation. In America, many jails are crowded with violent illegal immigrants. Harris has yet to take responsibility for her border failures. Alexis Nungaray is the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray who was killed by illegal immigrants at the border of Houston, Texas. She blames Biden and Harris’ border policies on the horrific murder of her 12-year-old daughter.
Local liberal officials know that the border policies of Biden and Harris are increasing crime but they hide this from us by implementing sanctuary policies. In Fairfax County in Virginia, I, for instance, filed a Freedom of Information Act Request on the number of illegal immigrant arrests. The police cannot share this information because of the sanctuary policy in the area.
Does this make us safer? This does not. Trump has also promised to end sanctuary cities and counties.
Does the Biden/Harris Title IX reform that conflates sex with gender make women and girls more safe in sports, restrooms, and locker rooms, or does it not? In fact, quite the opposite. Ask the girls who were raped by a student in the bathroom of Loudoun County Public Schools, or the women and girls forced to compete in sports leagues alongside male athletes. Like many American families, I am a mom with three kids who is also faced with shrinkflation and inflation in grocery stores. The prices of groceries are now much higher than the wages and salaries during the Biden-Harris Administration. I think the economy will be stronger with Trump.
A strong American president is needed to resolve conflicts around the globe. Watch her speech and press conferences in Warsaw in Poland in March 2022. She made a complete fool of herself just after Russia invaded Ukraine. My grandfather fought North Koreans in the Korean War. I don’t want my boys to be forced into fighting anyone under Harris.
Harris replied that she could not think of anything different from Biden despite all the mistakes and failures over the past four years.
My views about Trump have changed dramatically, and I know I’m not the only one. In 2016, I didn’t support him. The stakes are high in this election and his track record indicates that he’s the better candidate. Trump certainly would have behaved differently over the past four years. He has the leadership and vision to change our country so that our kids can enjoy the same freedom, relative tranquility, and prosperity as their parents.
According to this mother, Trump’s candidacy is the most suitable option for women in this election.
