What would you pay for a constitutional amendment that allows abortion up until the moment of birth? What if your local police were given the power to search your home without a warrant just because you’re on a list with people who have purchased legal consumer products? If you’re in favor of such things, then start with seven figures, or more than a hundred thousand dollars. One state only.
This is only one group that is hell-bent on passing the most liberal abortion law as well as strict measures to control guns and more.
The National Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (NDLC) has compiled a list of state elections that it intends to invest heavily in. It did this because, after the “prosecutors purge,” which was funded by George Soros and replaced law-and order local prosecutors with liberals refusing to enforce the laws, it realized more changes could be made at the state and local levels more cheaply.
Guess what? Last week, we told you that the four Virginia House of Delegates districts on this list were the same as those in our previous post. Del. Josh Thomas in Northern Virginia (Del. Joshua Cole in Fredericksburg, Del. Nadarius from Suffolk and Del. Michael Feggans, from Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
Virginia is one of only two states with off-year elections. This November, the Democratic Party will try to show that voters reject President Donald Trump’s policies by electing Democrats.
The memo sent to the media Monday stated: “DLCC (Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee) anticipates that some of the most difficult battlegrounds will emerge in the Northern Virginia suburbs, Capital Region, and Southeast Virginia. Our early investments are paying off in preparation for the tough races. The House caucus began its first-ever campaign last month.
The announcement promises “a five-figure advertising buy that targets vulnerable opponents who support Trump’s policies.”
According to Virginia Public Access Project, the Virginia branch campaign committee has raised more than $2.2 million and is planning to spend it.
This announcement included a promise that the committee would “unveil an addition to Target Map, the lieutenant-governor’s race.” The race is expected to be fiercely competitive and the winner will play a key role in Virginia’s state legislature, as the tie-breaking votes in the Virginia Senate.
Can the Virginia Republicans raise any objections to this type of targeting by deep-pockets? According to Ballotpedia data, the Republican State Leadership Committee currently has $30.5 millions in national funds.
Job No. The new Virginia Republican Party Chair (who will be chosen this Saturday) must convince these national bankrollers of the Republicans’ seriousness about stopping the abortion Amendment, gun bans and other far-left policy.
