EAB is a consulting firm that provides education services to local school districts, colleges and even the Defense Department. EAB uses tax dollars from local, state and federal governments to promote a pro-police, woke agenda on students and staff, instead of advocating academic achievement. Abigail Spanberger, Virginia Democrat gubernatorial nominee and former employee of EAB before her job in Congress, helped to carry out EAB’s agenda.
Spanberger was employed by EAB “to help higher education institutions diversify the student body”. Spanberger’s association with the radical, anti-police EAB should serve as a warning for Virginia voters. She claims to be moderate, but that’s not the truth.
On the EAB website, school leaders are instructed to “consider whether their partnerships with police departments or School Resource Officers (SRO) may reinforce systemic racist in their community.” The company urges schools to encourage students to reflect on racism and white privilige. They not only promote racist agendas , but also encourage boys to invade the private spaces of girls through “gender inclusive restrooms” .
EAB Pushes Activism over Academics
EAB claims that “racism” is not racism . . “Embedded in today’s economic, social and political systems.” The death of George Floyd, they said, “ignited demand for racial injustice and prompted deeper thoughts on white privilege throughout the nation.” Schools “are not excluded from these nationwide requests.” EAB encourages schools to be proactive when it comes to meeting activist demands from students. Emory University, for example, has created an online demand tracking system to monitor responses.
EAB created a guide in 2020 to encourage student activism. They claimed, “Leaders of higher education shouldn’t view activism as a liability, but as a chance for progress and improvement.” The group urged colleges and universities that they should get faculty and staff buy-in to important issues, because “too many times, the burden of implementing change and completing action items falls disproportionately on BIPOC staff and faculty.”
EAB also asserts that “standardized tests keep Black [sic] from enrolling in colleges at rates comparable to those of their white peers.” Margaret Sullivan, EAB’s Associate Director of Research asserts that traditional grading methods, such as grading homework or the requirement to submit work on time are racist, because these practices foster “unconscious prejudices.” She promotes controversial “equitable grade practices” which eliminates the traditional A to F grading system and does not allow deductions for late work or work that isn’t done. These practices are a recipe for failure and lower standards in academics.
EAB promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives at the K-12 levels through Leadership Forums. They push the narrative that race plays a major role in determining a person’s personality and encourage districts to create DEI departments. EAB encourages staff to engage in conversations that promote a narrative of “white privilege” when it comes to race. EAB believes that equity must be at the forefront of all conversations, and encourages social justice lessons.
It’s only the beginning. EAB pushes its woke agenda also through the Defense Department.
EAB to Hire to Increase Diversity in Military Academies for 15 Million
EAB has several contracts with the U.S. The U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy in West Point have contracted EAB to help with recruitment. These contracts highlight the use of College Greenlight Network a part EAB which works to improve diversity recruitment. The Naval Academy contract is for performance from July 2023 to June 2024, with options of extension through June 2026. USA spending shows that the Department of Navy has awarded EAB contracts worth over $4.5 Million. West Point’s $5.4million contract with EAB started in December 2022 and has option years until 2026. A previous contract for enrollment management between 2018-2022 West Point was worth up to 6 million dollars.
In the recent West Point Contract with EAB, it is stated that West Point’s performance indicators include “diversity centric applications.” It also states “a diversified Corps of Cadets” is essential for the future of both the Academy and U.S. Army Officer Corps. In the contract, the contractor is required to provide the government with an H.S. The contract specifies that the contractor shall provide to the government a newsletter “sent to H.S. The contractor would have to offer exclusive access “to support the Government’s equity and access goals.” ”
Documented evidence shows EAB helped U.S. Military Academies recruit “students” of color over white students. While it’s unclear if EAB still works with the Defense Department to push the racist equality agenda, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made it clear that these practices are not permitted.
EAB has not only benefited from lucrative federal contracts but also numerous lucrative contracts with colleges, universities and K-12 schools throughout the country. Here are a few examples.
Colleges:
K-12 Public School:
- Virginia Beach City Public Schools: $159,900 for 3 years of forums
- Stafford Public Schools, VA : $23,500 per year for forum membership
- Circleville City School, OH: $ 28,500 to support professional development
- Parkway School District in MO: $29 508 to build a forum
- Wheeling School District 21 in IL: 46,500 dollars for a Leadership Forum
- Fairfield Community Schools District, IA: $96 110 (5 year program to “raise the morale of teachers” through virtual workshops with EAB experts and office hours). This district has only 1,500 students.
Virginia Military Institute reported that EAB had worked with them over the years. A state audit report indicated “VMI grossly overpaid.” . . ” I am interested in marketing services from EAB. ”
EAB tentacles are spread across the country, pushing racist, anti-police agendas. It would be prudent for community members to ask their local and state officials if EAB is funded by taxpayer dollars. Since the Supreme Court has effectively banned affirmative action, institutions that hire EAB must be scrutinized over their contracts.
