Glenn Youngkin

Glenn Allen Youngkin (born December 9, 1966) is an American businessman and politician serving since 2022 as the 74th governor of Virginia. A member of the Republican Party, he spent 25 years at the private-equity firm The Carlyle Group, where he became co-CEO in 2018. He resigned from the position in 2020 to run for governor.

Virginia Sees Low Unemployment Across the Commonwealth

Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced that according to BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics (“LAUS”, or “the household survey”), the labor force increased by 3,649 to 4,575,255 and Virginia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in October remained unchanged at 2.9 percent, which is 0.1 percentage points below the rate from a year ago.
