Fairfax County Park Authority is trying to push through dramatic increases in fees while the taxpayers are focused on their Thanksgiving celebrations. These increases will affect hardworking Fairfax County families beginning January 1st.
- Increase in Recreation Center Fees for Families: 32%
- Camping, pavilions and picnic areas: an increase of 30%+
- Golf Fees: Increase of up to 20%
- Increase in Golf and Room Rentals: 25% (effective 2025).
The proposed meal tax is on top of the already soaring property taxes. The FCPA is continuing to ask for more tax from residents, while offering free services to those who do not pay taxes.
