Dear Editor,
Thank you for bringing to light what’s really happening in the Virginia General Assembly. Your article “Subramanyam Denies Tax Relief to All Virginians” was an unpleasant jolt of reality. As a senior citizen preparing to retire, I’ve watched the value of my retirement dollars continue to erode due to the rampant inflation we are experiencing in this country. I was appalled to learn that our own legislators voted down tax relief legislation that would have doubled our tax deductions! Even Suhas Subramanyam, our local Senator, voted against this bill, and now he wants us to elect him to the U.S. House?! How out of touch can he be? It’s time to throw the bums out starting with Subramanyam. I’m voting Republican this year.
