Abortion on Demand without Parental Notification
The Democrats want to enshrine abortion without limitation in the Constitution–including no age restrictions or parental consent requirement. Republicans exposed this radicalism when they demanded that the Speaker of House conduct a legal assessment to determine if the bill would allow partial birth infanticide. Virginia’s proposed abortion legislation would be among the most extreme laws in the country.
Here are some examples of Republican legislation introduced during this session.
HB 1809–Del. Delores Oates — Requires K-12 sport to be separated based on biological sex.
HB 1862–Del. Rob Bloxom — Limit absentee balloting in primary elections to a maximum of 14 days before the election.
HB 1891–Del. Jason Ballard — Requires that the Department of Corrections or other responsible parties report illegal aliens before release to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
HB 1910–Del. Hillary Kent — Prohibits the use of artificial dyes in school meals served by public K-12 schools.
HB 1965–Del. Anne Ferrell Tata — Provides a deduction for income taxes on tips and overtime.
HB 931–Del. Christopher Head — Prohibits the giving of obscene material to children in school. The law currently prohibits the giving of obscene material to children, except in school.
HB 2183–Del. Nicholas Freitas — Requires healthcare providers to provide life-saving care to a baby born alive after an abortion.
HR 454–Del. Eric Zehr–Directs that the House Speaker order a legal impact study on the abortion amendment.
The differences between Democrats and Republicans are stark. Democrats want to increase taxes, adopt socialist policies, and kill infants. Republicans want to lower taxes, create a safe environment, and protect life.
