The Virginia Republican “Affordability Agenda”

The Agenda in a Glimpse:

• Lower power bills: Stop expensive energy mandates when grid reliability or prices are threatened. This will protect families from having to choose between heating and food.
• Car tax relief: Restore the money to household budgets that was promised by the long-promised removal of the car taxes up to $20,000.
• Tax Protection Extend the enhanced standard deduction permanently, preventing a tax increase and saving an average $661 annually for a married couple.
• Grocery tax repeal: Stop Virginia’s grocery tax — one of only 10 states that still enforces it. A family of four can save about $150 per year while keeping local governments untouched.
• Lower Insurance Costs: Allow insurers to offer preferred networks of repair, but not to require them to do so. This will allow drivers to pay lower premiums.
