SEIU COPE, the political arm of the Service Employees International Union, contributed $5,000 to the Yasmin Shafiq campaign for Herndon Town Council on July 28, 2026. The donation comes from a PAC that has directed nearly all of its political spending since at least 2000 toward Democratic candidates and causes.
