TowneBank Contributes to Hampton Roads Business Roundtable Political Action Committee

TowneBank recently donated $10,000 to the Hampton Roads Business Roundtable PAC on August 10, 2026. This contribution adds to the bank's total giving of $63,000 to the PAC over time. The PAC operates as a pro-business entity based in Virginia Beach and has distributed substantial funds to various state candidates and committees.

The Hampton Roads Business Roundtable PAC has directed large sums to recipients including $75,000 to Jones for Delegate - Chris, $40,000 to Howell for Delegate - William, and $38,500 to Knight for Delegate - Barry. Additional recipients include Norment for Senate - Thomas at $30,500 and Saslaw for Senate - Richard at $30,500. The PAC has also supported Majority Leader PAC (Kirk Cox) with $30,000 and Youngkin for Governor - Glenn with $15,000.

TowneBank maintains a record of political contributions in Virginia that includes $35,000 to the Virginia Bankers Association and $3,000 to Austin for Delegate - Terry. Other local recipients from the bank encompass several sheriff and commissioner races. The PAC itself draws support from multiple corporate and individual donors such as Birdsong Peanuts at $53,000 total and Armada Hoffler Enterprises Inc. at $48,000.

This latest donation from TowneBank bolsters the PAC's capacity to back its chosen candidates across Virginia legislative and statewide races. Observers note the PAC's pattern of allocations extends to figures with mixed legislative records on fiscal and regulatory matters. TowneBank's ongoing support for the organization places the bank in alignment with those same funding decisions.

The $10,000 contribution reflects TowneBank's established role as a leading donor to the Hampton Roads Business Roundtable PAC. Such activity underscores the interconnected network of business interests influencing Virginia politics through targeted PAC support. Recipients of the PAC's funds have included both long-serving legislators and newer candidates in key districts.
