MTM Transit Contributes $15,000 to Democratic Political Action Committee in Virginia

MTM Transit made a donation of $15,000 to United for Virginia's Future PAC on September 8, 2026. The contribution went to the Democratic leadership committee associated with Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger. Records show the PAC has received over $3 million in contributions since 2025, with the largest share coming from Spanberger for Governor.

MTM Transit, operating as MTM Transportation Management Inc, has a history of political giving in Virginia. The company previously contributed $1,000 to Democrat Viola Baskerville for Delegate. No other candidate contributions from MTM Transit appear in available records beyond the recent PAC donation and the earlier gift to Baskerville.

United for Virginia's Future PAC was launched by Spanberger to recruit and support candidates in future elections. The committee has directed funds toward Democratic efforts, including large transfers back to Spanberger's own campaign committee totaling nearly $1.5 million in one instance. Additional top donors to the PAC include entities such as Premium Distributors of Va LLC, Hunton Andrews Kurth, and various casino and betting interests.

The $15,000 contribution from MTM Transit adds to the PAC's resources for backing candidates aligned with Spanberger's priorities. Conservatives have long opposed many of the policy directions advanced by Spanberger during her time in Congress and as governor-elect. By directing funds to this PAC, MTM Transit is potentially supporting those same positions on issues that have drawn Republican criticism.

Virginia campaign finance reports confirm the PAC's focus on Democratic leadership committees and candidates. The donation timing follows Spanberger's landslide victory and the PAC's ongoing fundraising for 2026 and beyond. MTM Transit's involvement highlights business support for a committee that channels money primarily to one party's infrastructure in the state.
