Suhas Subramanyam’s Pattern of Deception
Loudoun County, VA – The Mike Clancy for Congress campaign is shining a light on a troubling pattern of dishonesty by Democrat candidate Suhas Subramanyam, who is seeking to represent Virginia’s 10th District. Recent revelations have uncovered serious discrepancies in Subramanyam’s claims about his service to the community and his personal background.
Just last week, the Leesburg Patch reported that Subramanyam has misled voters for five years regarding his supposed role as a volunteer firefighter. While he boasts about his service in campaign ads and on social media, internal fire department documents indicate that he was terminated in 2019 due to neglect of duties, insubordination, and actions that jeopardized both his safety and the safety of others.
In addition to this significant misrepresentation, Subramanyam has again attempted to deceive voters in a recent fundraising letter, claiming he “grew up here” and is “personally invested in this community because Virginia raised me.” (See below.) This is false. Suhas Subramanyam was born and raised in Houston, Texas, attended college in Louisiana, and only moved to Virginia’s 10th District around the age of 30.
“Voters deserve a candidate they can trust, not someone who repeatedly lies about their background and qualifications,” said Mike Clancy. “Integrity matters in leadership, and Suhas Subramanyam has shown he cannot be trusted to represent our community.”
As the campaign for Congress heats up, it is more clear than ever that Virginia’s 10th District needs a representative who values honesty and transparency. Mike Clancy is committed to serving the community with integrity and is asking voters to stand with him this election.
